Remove the timing belt as described in the relevant chapter HERE
Disconnect:
the electrical connector from the pressure sensor;
the fuel pipes from the high-pressure pump.
Lock the high-pressure pump drive gear (1) against rotation by fitting tool SP. 2263 (2) as shown in the figure. Remove the nut (3) and remove the tool (2).
With tool 99340035 (2) fitted as shown in the figure, extract the gear (1) from the high-pressure pump shaft (3).
Remove the bolts (1) and detach the high-pressure pump (2) from the water pump bracket (3).
