Removal of the EGR Valve for Iveco Daily
Partially drain the engine coolant.
Remove the complete exhaust pipe from the engine and chassis as described in the relevant chapter.
Loosen the clamps and disconnect the coolant pipes (1 and 3) from the EGR valve (7).
Disconnect the vacuum pipe (6) from the EGR valve. (7).
Remove the fixing screws (5-9-10) and detach the EGR valve (7) complete with elbow (11) from: heat exchanger (2), pipe (8) from the bracket (4).
To refit, reverse the removal procedure, observing the following warnings:
- replace the gaskets with new parts;
- tighten the nuts and bolts to the specified torque.
- fill the expansion tank with coolant.
