Tightening sequence diagram for the cylinder head bolts:
- 1a stage: pre-tightening with a torque wrench D bolts 1-2-3-4-5-6, to a torque of 100 ±5 Nm; D bolts 7-8-9-10, to a torque of 50 ±2,5 Nm.
- 2a stage: angle tightening D bolts 1-2-3-4-5-6, 90° ±5°; D bolts 7-8-9-10, 60° ±3o.
- 3a stage: angle tightening D bolts 1-2-3-4-5-6, 90° ±5°; D bolts 7-8-9-10, 60° ±3o.
A = flywheel side.

- Tighten the bolts and nuts to the specified torque.

- Gaskets and oil seals must not be reused but replaced with new ones.
If the engine has been running for a period equivalent to a vehicle mileage of ≥ 25.000 km, the timing belt must be replaced with a new one, whatever its state of wear.
To tighten the glow plugs, use socket 99355041 and torque wrench 99389819.
