Silencer and Exhaust Pipe Replacement for Iveco Daily
Position the vehicle over the pit or on the vehicle lift.
Disconnect the electrical connector (4) of the Lambda sensor.
Remove the fasteners (2) and disconnect the end of the exhaust pipe (3) from the turbocharger flange (1).
Suitably support the assembly and, using a suitable lever, release the support hooks (6 and 8) from the rubber mountings (5 and 7) and remove the assembly from the vehicle.
Dismantle the assembly into its components by loosening the retaining clamps.
Refitting
To refit, reverse the removal procedure, observing the following warnings:
- check the condition of the rubber mountings and replace them if they are found to be deteriorated;
- replace the gaskets with new parts;
- tighten the nuts and bolts to the specified torque.
