From underneath the vehicle:
-
- undo the nuts (2) securing the support bracket (1) of the silencer (3) to the vehicle chassis;
-

-
- undo and remove the exhaust gas temperature sensors at the catalytic converter inlet (16) and at the catalytic converter outlet (17);
-
- undo to disconnect the unions (6 and 12) securing the rigid pipes (7 and 11) leading to the pressure sensor to the D.P.F. catalytic converter (8);
-
- suitably secure the D.P.F. catalytic converter (8) to the vehicle chassis;

To refit, reverse the removal procedure, observing the following warnings:
- check the condition of the rubber mountings and replace them if they are found to be deteriorated;
- replace the gaskets with new parts; - tighten the nuts and bolts to the specified torque.
Once the operation is complete, and if the D.P.F. catalytic converter or the differential pressure sensor (delta-p) has been replaced, follow the instructions given in the relevant chapters.
