Frequently Asked Questions
Which oil for the Iveco Daily 2.3?
For the 2.3 Euro 6 engine (from 2014): 5W-30 ACEA C3 oil, such as Petronas Urania Daily LS. For the 2.3 Euro 4-5 (2006-2014): 10W-40. is also accepted. Quantity: 7 litres with filter.
How much oil does the Daily 3.0 take?
The 3.0 F1C engine takes around 9,5-10 litres with filter, depending on the Euro version. It's one of the engines in its class that needs the most oil.
Can I use 5W-40 oil in the Daily?
Iveco doesn't recommend it. For Euro 6 engines the specification is 5W-30 ACEA C3. An oil that's too viscous can clog the DPF and cause regeneration problems. Stick to the specifications in the owner's handbook.
Is Petronas Urania oil mandatory?
No, Petronas Urania is the brand recommended by Iveco (official partner), but any oil with the ACEA C3 specification and the correct viscosity is fine: Selenia, Shell Rimula, Mobil Delvac, Castrol Enduron.
