Iveco Daily Battery — Which to Choose
The battery in the Iveco Daily is a critical component: it has to start a large-displacement diesel engine (2.3 or 3.0 litres) even at sub-zero temperatures, and power all of the vehicle's electrical systems. Choosing the right battery is essential.
Battery specifications by generation
| Generation | Capacity (Ah) | Cold cranking (A) | Dimensions (mm) | Polarity |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Daily II-III (1990-2006) | 95 Ah | 760 A | 353x175x190 | Right (positive terminal on the right) |
| Daily IV-V (2006-2014) | 95-110 Ah | 760-850 A | 353x175x190 | Right |
| Daily VI-VII (2014-present) | 110 Ah | 850 A | 394x175x190 | Right |
Important: Euro 6 Daily models with a Start&Stop system require an AGM or EFB battery, not a conventional lead-acid battery.
Where Is the Battery on the Iveco Daily
The battery on the Iveco Daily is located under the driver's seat (Daily II-V) or in the compartment under the cab floor on the left-hand side (Daily VI-VII). To access it:

Frequently Asked Questions
What amp-hour rating does the Iveco Daily battery have?
The standard battery is 95 Ah (Daily up to 2014) or 110 Ah (Daily from 2014). The cold cranking current ranges from 760 A to 850 A. Daily models with Start&Stop need a 110 Ah AGM battery.
How long does the Daily battery last?
A good-quality battery lasts 4-6 years. Under heavy-duty use (many starts a day, severe cold, lots of electrical accessories) its life drops to 3-4 years. Check the voltage every year: below 12.4V at rest, the battery needs replacing.
Can I fit a more powerful battery?
You can fit a battery with more Ah (e.g. 110 Ah instead of 95 Ah) as long as its physical dimensions fit the battery tray and the polarity is the same (+ terminal on the right). Never fit a battery with fewer Ah than the original.
